Armenian miniature.past and present

Armenian miniature has an important role in the cultural heritage of Armenian nation. It has reached to these days as old manuscripts, which surprise us with their composition solvings, unique bright colors and deep text content. In 13-14th centuries this art was highly developed. Of course, we can talk a lot about armenian miniature, discuss it for hours. Many miniautre schools were opened, and each of them had its own style, but they all were united around the armenian national common soul. Here are some of the miniature schools: Gladsor, Tatev, Kilikia, Vaspourakan, Artsakh, Utiq, Naxjievan, etc. Each armenian art lover can admire the works of famous Armenian miniature artists Mkhitar Yerzynkatsi, Toros Toranaci, Avag, Grigor, Simeon Ardjishetsi, Vardan. Among the Cilician artists are Grigor Mlidgetsi, Toros Roslin, Hovhannes and Sargis Pidzak. We can add more and more names to this list.

Some people think that Armenian miniature is not modern nowadays. They say that in past the books were illustrated by hand, as they could't be printed. Today thecnology can solve all these questions. I don't think so, because I think that nowadays there are talanted minature artists who have unique style and create artworks in modern themes.

I would like to know your opinion about the following question.

Can armenian miniature develop today,or it has developed and ended in middle ages?
